Why you should own your own website and not use a free service?
There are a lot of services out there that will offer you a free website such as BlogSpot, Squidoo and many others. You get your free domain hosting and a place to share your content. But the problem with these free services is that you are a prisoner to their terms and conditions. They might limit your hosting space, they will throw ads on your site/blog to make money for themselves, they will tell you what you can and can’t write about, they might get shut down and take your site down as well and so on, you get the point. At the end of the day you want to own your land, and be able to design your website how you like, put whichever content you want and not being limited to other company/entity frame of work. Not to mention that if you are planning to make money from your site by promoting products or services, it is extremely unprofessional and will definitely hurt your business if you promote a free website.
How much does it cost to make a website?
A few bucks a months for hosting and domain name. Think of a business that needs to rent a physical location to operate, they pay much more than a few bucks a month. This small investment will pay itself back and more very quickly.
I’m afraid it is too complicated for me

Very helpful book that provides screenshots and in depth details for every part of the process. I have been wanting to build a Wordpress page for my computer repair business, but I didn't even know where to begin, and using a free site made the domain name so long no one could ever remember it. The book provides detailed steps you should take to get your site up and running, steps that no other resource talks about because they assume you already know, well I didn't know but now I do. With information on how to install plug-ins, ways to make money off of your blog, and even information on how to backup your site, this book was exactly the guide I needed.Product details

WordPress Made Easy Ori Ben eBook Reviews
I got this "book" for free because I subscribe to Prime. It's worth exactly what I paid for it. It's full of misspelled words and poor-quality images that can't be read without a magnifying glass or a 40" screen. (Mine is only 24".) It's nothing but an advertising scam for GoDaddy and Blue-something. And I was dumb enough to subscribe to their "newsletter" so they now have my email address. Will I never learn? The newsletter is nothing more than a duplication of what's in the "book." Look elsewhere if you're truly seeking an introduction to WordPress.
I finished this excellent book quickly - its an easy read, and has some nice, methodical tips to get your Wordpress from start to publishing. I especially like his personal recommendations, the plugin recommendations are exceptional. Well worth the price.
Book is very short and the author tries to get you to follow his apps and links that will cost you $. The few and Very Few tips provided the average person can already figure out on their own.
This was a very good tutorial for someone who had no clue about this subject. I haven't finished my site yet but I think it will be great once it is complete all because of the instructions I obtained by reading this book. It was short, sweet, and to the point. Not a lot of unnecessary fluff. It has a few typos but not enough to distract you from the essence of the book. Thank you Ori for setting me on the right path.
